X-ray films recycling and purging

Purging and recycling old x-ray films

With the price of precious metals today, in particular silver, the process of recycling updated and old x-ray film is a convenient way not only to get rid of clutter in your office, but also to receive a payment for your old and obsolete films.

X-ray film has a thin coating of silver on it, and through a proper silver recovery process in a refinery, x-ray recovering companies are able to remove this metal from the x-ray films and melt it down for future uses in diverse industrial applications such as medical, dental, electrical, photography, electronics and jewel manufacturing.
Aside from the economic advantages, recycling x-rays is the best way to reduce contamination of the environment and helps us maintain and preserve our planet’s health for future generations: the x-ray film contains dangerous elements that can be harmful to human health and must be disposed of according to the norms and regulations of EPA and HIPAA.

B. W. Recycling, Inc, is an international corporation with more than 30 years of experience in recycling. To recycle your old MRI films, scrap and outdated films, you only need to call us and talk to one of our representatives to schedule a date and time for the pick-up. We offer a free pick up service in all states of the Union.

The x-ray films will be destroyed, but the silver in them will be recovered and we will pay you based to the amount and weight of the films.

If your x-ray films are in paper jackets, it is not necessary to remove them. We will also recycle the paper, and in that way we also contribute to protect the forests that produce the wood required to manufacture paper.

Many hospitals, clinics and medical establishments hold onto thousands of obsolete x-ray and MRI films. Many of them contain sensitive information about the patients and must be disposed of properly, either through shredding or purging. At B.W. Recycling Inc, we make sure that all that information is permanently destroyed and issue a Certificate of Destruction to assure you that the identity of the patients is safe.

Additionally, by removing all those unnecessary documents you will have much more storage space in your office, space that can be put to better use.
X-ray film recycling offers you a great opportunity to reorganize your records, earn an additional income and clear out the clutter.
